Haruhiko Mikimoto

Haruhiko Mikimoto was born in Tokyo on 28 August. In 1980, he participated in Studio Nue's original project and thereafter joined Artland as a part-timer and pursued his passion as an animator and illustrator.

Mikimoto is known for his exceptional talent as a character designer for The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Megazone 23, and Gunbuster among many other popular titles. His originality and fresh approach towards his work, breathes life into iconic characters and familar favourites. Mikimoto is recognizably regarded as one of the top creators within the industry.

Mikimoto is currently working on the manga "Macross THE FIRST", and his latest project "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." Despite his grand achievements, Mikimoto continues to impress the world as an illustrator, manga-ka and character designer.
