David Mack

An Emmy nominee for his work on the Netflix TV series Jessica Jones, David Mack is no stranger to awards, having garnered nominations for 10 Eisner Awards, four International Eagle Awards, and both the Harvey and Kirby Awards in the category of Best New Talent. He was also the first American to be nominated for Germany's most prestigious Max-Und-Moritz award in the category of Best Imported Comic.

Mack is the creator, author and artist of Kabuki, which has earned him international acclaim for his innovative storytelling and painting techniques. Kabuki has been translated into seven languages; with nearly two million copies of comics, paperbacks and hard cover graphic novels in print in the U.S. The series has launched successful lines of action figures, toys and art objects (many of which were featured on Showtime’s TV show Dexter).

A US Comic Book Ambassador of Arts & Story for US State Department, other works that Mack has had a hand in include writing for Marvel’s Daredevil, designing the cover art for Neil Gaiman's American Gods, Jessica Jones and Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club 2 and creating the art and concept for the titles sequence for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

David is currently working on a new creator-owned project with Brian Michael Bendis and is also focused on bringing a Kabuki film into reality.
