Singapore, 15 August 2012 - The Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) 2012 steps up the game with just two weeks away from the real action as Reed Exhibitions announced more big names on board, ranging from famous game developers to top Japanese pop culture personalities.
Some of the most well-known names in the gaming industry such as Namco Bandai, Electronic Arts and Cherry Credits are bringing a series of celebrated games in the league of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, FIFA 12 and Dragon Nest SEA to the convention. Gamers will get the chance to flex their gaming muscles and fight for glory at the various tournaments.
Joining the line-up of pop culture personalities from Japan, Knuckle Bear's designer TOUMA and top-notch character designer Itou Noizi will be at STGCC for the first time in Singapore.
Gamers alert at STGCC
Hardcore gamers can seize the chance to join the wide array of gaming tournaments at STGCC as they vie for the title of Singapore's top gamers this year.
Namco Bandai has specially picked two of its most celebrated fighting game titles for an exciting showdown. The official Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Soul Calibur 5 tournaments promise to heat up the convention floor with exciting combat tactics and demonstrations of skillful game play.
The STGCC ESports Championship Series 2012 Season returns for ardent gamers to battle it out for the championship belt in competitive video game titles such as the Street Fighter IV: 2012 AE, FIFA 12, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Persona 4 Arena.

Cherry Credits will be bringing in their highly acclaimed online role-playing games - Dragon Nest SEA and SD Gundam Capsule Fighter to the convention as well.
Avid and casual fans alike can check out the exclusive new footage of Namco Bandai's upcoming titles this season, including explosive hits such as One Piece Pirate Warriors, Hitman Absolution, DBZ Kinect and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. Visitors can take the chance to try out the games and snap photos with cosplayers dressed as game characters.
More Japanese pop culture personalities on board STGCC
The toy designer line-up at STGCC stepped up a notch with the addition of TOUMA, character designer of the popular cult toy Knuckle Bear. Past designer at renowned game software developer SEGA Corporation, TOUMA's works are highly recognised and sought after, not only in Japan, but also in USA and Europe; the Knuckle Bear itself being chosen as a main character for the Berlin Fashion Week in Germany where huge Knuckle Bear posters were put up all over the city.
Also from Japan, top character designer Itou Noizi, will be coming to meet her fans in Singapore for the very first time. Widely known for her involvement as a character designer for hit Anime titles like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana, Itou has also recently illustrated for the game Kamisama to Unmei Kakumei no Paradox.
Fans from STGCC are psyched for this year's convention. Malaysian fan Chong Yi Peng, 34, will be attending this year. "What draws me to attend STGCC is the chance to meet talented people and artists from different parts of the world. This event just removes you from reality for a weekend and makes you feel young all over again."
