If you’ve missed the deadline, you can still submit your portfolio for review onsite. Please submit your portfolio to the Guests’ Lounge located in Hall 401. Submission closes strictly at 1200hrs on Saturday, 20 August 2011.
Pencilers
- Submission must be in hard copies. Ensure that these are copies only, no originals as they won’t be returned
- Minimum of five (5) pages of sequential art, a few pin-ups and /or cover illustrations
- Marvel characters preferred but not necessary
- Submission need not be in colour. Black and white line art is acceptable
- All submissions must come with the attached form duly completed
Cover Artists/Painters
- Submission must be in hard copies. Ensure that these are copies only, no originals as they won’t be returned
- Minimum of five (5) illustrations
- Black and White or Full colour is acceptable
- Marvel characters preferred but not necessary
- All submissions must come with the attached form duly completed
Inkers
- Submission must be in hard copies.
- All submission must be original showing the original pencils that are inked over
- Minimum of five (5) pages
- All submissions must come with the attached form duly completed
Colorists
- Submission must be in hard copies
- All submission must be original showing the original line art that are coloured over
- Minimum of five (5) pages
- All submissions must come with the attached form duly completed

NOTE:
Submissions are strictly restricted to artists’ own works or creations. No pitches, proposals and submission from budding writers will be eligible for review. Further, all submissions will not be returned to each applicant and belong to Marvel Comics.
More importantly, all submissions must be accompanied by a duly completed covering note. To be clear, applicants should state their full name as per identification document (which could either be passport or identify card or driver’s license) and the relevant associated identification document number.
Shortlisted artists will be contacted by 1200 hrs on Saturday (20 August) to come down for an up to 10-minute one-on-one review with C.B. Cebulski, Marvel’s Senior Vice President, Creator and Content Development, and international talent scout, on Saturday (20 August). Slots given cannot be changed.
If response is overwhelming with fantastic talent submitting fabulous work, we could explore arra nging an additional one-on-one review on Sunday (21 August). Should an additional review session be required, successful applicants will be notified by 2000 hrs on Saturday (21 August). As before, slots given cannot be changed.
For Writers
STGCC’s Marvel Portfolio Review is only open to artists. Interested writers may submit their material to the address below. Marvel only accepts previously published work for review, be it comics, novels, screenplays etc., and these must be sent to the Marvel editor(s) you wish to directly pitch at: Marvel Comics, 135 West 50th St., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018, USA. Never send story ideas or unpublished work.
