About Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore

Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore started in 2003 and is the only wish granting organisation in Singapore.  Our mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experiences with hope, strength and joy. We believe each wish experience can make a difference to the child and their family in their fight against their illnesses. The wishes that we grant are life-affirming, not dying.

With the help of generous donors and over 200 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Singapore has granted more than 1,160 wishes since inception and we would like to reach out to every medically eligible child in Singapore. Lot #3. “Superheros” by Simone Legno (42x29.7) + “Tokidoki” by David Finch (42x29.7)

Minimum bid: $100

These two fun quick sketches were done by Simone and David during the STGCC 2018 media preview. In a drawing style switcharoo challenge, we asked Simone to draw superheroes (specifically Batman, who David is famous for) and David to draw Simone’s tokidoki characters. The result: a light-hearted take on drawing in different a style one is normally accustomed to.

About the Artists

Simone Legno is the Co-founder/Chief Creative Officer of tokidoki.

tokidoki means “sometimes” in Japanese. Legno, who has always had a deep love of Japan and fascination with world cultures, chose the word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person”.

tokidoki has collaborated with many brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Guggenheim Museum, Sephora, LeSportsac, Onitsuka Tiger, Marvel, New Era, Hello Kitty, Fujitsu, Levi's, Xbox, T-mobile, Medicom Toy, MLB, Barbie, and Canon.

David Finch is a Canadian-born comics artist known for his work on Top Cow Productions' Cyberforce, as well as numerous subsequent titles for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, such as The New Avengers, Moon Knight, Ultimatum, Brightest Day, Wonder Woman and Batman.
